We went to Kinston NC to visit the Kosinski side of the family Saturday. We had the best time seeing family that we do not get to see often. Even though we were greeted with a speeding ticket as soon as we entered Kinston, the trip was so much fun. Rick and Jen, my brother and sister in-law, were able to join us for the ride. I haven't laughed so much in a long time. The combination of my brother's jokes and Marty's dry sense of humor made the trip one I will not forget. I know my family agrees that we will not let so much time pass before our next visit. I just hate my dad was not there to be around for the fun. He would be so happy to see us all together.

Snow Day
Fortunately we got a dusting of snow this morning. Reese wasn't sure about it. It didn't help that she decided her day would start at 4 AM and her company of choice...yes, me! We did catch a few smiles in between the yawns. We don't get to see snow in the area often, so the 30 minutes of layering and unlayering was worth the 5 minutes of ahh and wonder.

Christmas
We had a great Christmas! Even though we have been very busy with 2 weddings this month, things seemed to slow down over the week of Christmas. We spent some of our time in Moncks Corner and Jefferson. Both visits with our families were awesome! No gift could ever top a good laugh with family and a hug from your children. Reese and Boone seemed to enjoy Christmas morning seeing what Santa brought. Reese seemed to be a bit overwhelmed with all the new toys not knowing what to play with next. Boone smiled the whole morning...well as most of you know, Boone smiles pretty much all the time (but I like to think it was over more than the paper).
The only thing I hate is that it passed so fast. Marty and I just try to soak up every moment because we know the time we've had with them so far seems like only seconds.

I am going to add a few video clips so check them out if you have an extra minute.

Pecan Festival
Yes, I know. I have put three posts in one day...a little over the top, but we have been busy. We went downtown for the Pecan Festival. Reese was feelin' the music and melting hearts with her moves. Check out the new video clips added.

Halloween
We had a great time dressing the kids up. Boone was the cutest puppy in town. After several costume changes, Reese was a ballerina. I was so excited to put her hair up. Most of you know, it is a fight to keep a bow in her hair, let alone put it up. I gave her Q-tips to play with while I rushed to put it in pigtails.

While He Was Out
Marty had to go to Chicago a few days for work. Luckily, my mom was able to get off work to help with the kids and to give me some adult interaction. Anyone that has met my mom knows she is a fun person to be around. We all had a great time at the park, shopping, and trying to figure out Mrs. Betty's high tech sewing machine.

Boone looks like he's not sure what to think about the swing.

What a cutie!

Abraham Lincoln meets Mr. T.

Reese and Boone with their Nana.
Boone's first taste of rice cereal. Yum Yum!

Reese loves peek a boo (even though her brother has no clue what she is doing).

The Sarah Palins want your vote on November 4th!
Hopefully Christain's (the republican elephant) reaction to McCain is not a sign of disappointment for the McCain Palin ticket.
